I don't really enjoy huge gatherings because most of the time, I feel awkward. But this one is really different... After spending almost 2 weeks everyday, this feels just like a family gathering. Everyone makes fun of everyone because everyone's just so silly & funny and most importantly, I love hanging out with people whom I can just be myself!
Thank God I managed to make it in time for the wrap party/gathering @ Ann Siang's P.S Cafe with almost the whole production crew which was hella fun! Our clients dropped by for awhile to join us too and surprisingly, there wasn't any tensed-up awkward moments at all. Phew!
During filming, everyone rarely has the chance to get to know each other because we're always busy with our own stuffs. This wrap party was definitely a good time for all of us to get to know each other better while celebrating our hard work... Which I hope it isn't too late since we'll definitely have a chance to work together with each other again(?) -crosses fingers-
Spent half of my time chatting away with the (most encouraging) camera-men... They are the ones whom I worked really closely together with throughout the entire filming yet they are also the ones whom I've never had the chance to talk to.
Be it writing or acting, they've been very encouraging with their words throughout the night. Reminding me not to be shy, not to close any door since I'm still young, etc. Sometimes, you just need people like them to give you that extra boost to change your mindset which may in turn change the way you lead your life. That is, of course, in a positive manner. :)
Judging from these lovely pictures, I'm sure it was a great night out for all of us and definitely the best way to end my Thursday night... Aww man, please tell me how to not miss this awesome crew?
Oh wells... Till then! <3

More than just a childhood dream
When I was younger, I love watching tv! You know, how little girls (not all but most of them) always dream about the glamour of appearing on tv... Haha yeah, I'm one of 'em too!
Being an actress is my childhood dream... No one knows about it, not even my parents. No doubt I'm able to make friends quite easily because I'm willing to open up to people and welcome them with my brightest smile. I may appear to be that confident, outspoken, talkative social butterfly but deep down inside me, I'm really pretty shy. No one ever believes me when I say I'm shy thou, oh wells.
About 1.5 months ago, I thought I signed up for a print-ad assignment but only when I was on my way to casting, Shine told me it's actually an acting assignment. I hesitated, thinking if I should hop on to the next bus because I never believed that I've got a talent for acting... I've got stage fright, I'm shy and never confident of myself but she encouraged me to go for it and yes, I did. :)
Two weeks later, I was called up for a second round of selection. I was (literally) jumping for joy! It was an on-the-spot casting with the producers and directors with about 18 talents? I was really nervous because almost everyone has an acting background except me and a few others. Nevertheless, I left lightheartedly... Nope, it wasn't because I was confident but I thought it was already quite a privilege for me.
Three days later, I received good news that I was selected! I was (literally) jumping (higher) for joy! Knowing that my childhood dream is coming true, what more can I ask for?
You must be thinking: Damn, what a lucky girl.
Yeah, I know right. I'm truly blessed. :)
For the past 2.5 weeks, I've been working on the assignment and yesterday was the last official day of filming. Everyday is a tiring but fulfilling day. I have never complained once. In fact, be it the dry rehearsals or filming till wee hours, I was enjoying every single bit of it.
The past 2.5 weeks of filming has been an amazing journey and definitely an eye-opener for me. Meeting/working with well-known, experienced & professional producers, directors and cinematographers and of course, the ever nice, caring & encouraging crew is such a privilege for me.
Behind those glamour, it's nothing but pure hard (team) work and patience.
I will never forget the care & concern they shower on me when I fell & strained my ankle. All because of the worried look on their faces, I couldn't bear t cry even longer and make everyone else suffer under the hot scorching sun even though it was really tough to do an instant switch from crying to laughing.
When it's all over, I started smiling & laughing again because I know it's so damn worthwhile that everyone's hard work has finally paid off after filming under the hot scorching sun for one whole morning and afternoon.
Last but not least, this journey wouldn't be as fun without these four other awesome main casts! Five different characters (be it in real life or scripted) coming together and becoming really good friends since day 1 of rehearsal is really hard to come by.
I'm definitely gonna miss all the silly fun! Be it the switching of characters during rehearsals, asking each other to close their mouth, that stupid challenge (of capturing my opened-mouth) among the boys, mimicking my "Oiiiii", "Noooooo" & "Seriously, B?!", making fun of how our caucasian producers pronounced our AD's name, bitching of that act-diva including the producers, JD and the whole crew.
Ahhhhh, I'm so gonna miss all of that...
After this whole episode, I've learnt a lesson: One should never be afraid to grab any opportunity that's coming your way because you really don't know what the future brings... And life is indeed full of surprises. Like I always say: One life, young once, live it well with no regrets :)

Hopefully, MSF Sparty rehearsal's gonna end earlier than expected so I'll be able to catch-up with the producers, directors & the main casts tonight! -crosses fingers-

I had a good one-day break from filming on Sunday... Be it for my mind, my health or my skin.
Woke up to Beth's face snoring right beside me is quite a bliss, heh. This sleepover tradition of ours has been going on for years since we're fifteen. Oh, those good ol' carefree days!
Beth is just like a part of my family. We accompanied Dad to pick Mom up and gave her a surprise cos she didn't know we're tagging along. Yummy duck rice @ Clementi for lunch before Dad was such a sweetheart to drop us @ Sim Lim Square to purchase my camera after much hesitation!
And yessssssssahhh! After saving for three months (ever since I started working in January) while spending on whatever that's necessary and taking into consideration that I still have to pay for my own driving license, I finally got my hands on...
This is by far, my greatest investment and I am so proud of myself, why?
It's really difficult to resist the temptation of getting what you want (not need) after your first pay-day especially when I used to splurge like no one's business. If you know me well enough, I love, love, love shopping online! I used to have this bad habit -- I hate to wear the same outfit again which is the main reason why I love buying new clothes. So every term break during school days is just like my mini fashion show. This also means that I have no savings at all. Ha, damn pathetic.
It's only when you start working then you'll realize the importance of money. No, not to the extent where you become calculative with your friends but you will actually calculate in terms of "hmms, this meal will cost me - hour of my pay." Do you feel the same way too? Or is it just me? Whatever it is, I'm glad I've finally learnt to spent and save for the rainy days with my own ability, phew.
Anyways, back to my new camera...
Why did I choose Olympus XZ-1? I've tried the Olympus PEN series and both my friends and I love the wide-angle (cos we can squeeze about 5-6 people in a self-shot) & art filter (soft focus & pinhole is really pretty!). Olympus XZ-1 has fulfilled both criteria and it costs only half the amount of an Olympus PEN series. Moreover, I have a DSLR (Canon 60D) at home so nah, I don't think I need a SLR.
P.S. I purchased this at a special rate which is inclusive of screen protector, casing, 8gb memory stick & one-year warranty due to connections. (Please do not ask me about it) However, I've found out the cheapest price of Olympus XZ-1 @ Sim Lim Square which is $499 without the freebies at a store located at level 2!
Whoop, whoop! I really can't wait to start taking pictures/blogging with my new camera! :)
Purchased a pretty polka-dots iPhone cover and an Instax leather bag for my polaroid camera too! I always feel the need to protect my gadgets especially when this is a christmas gift from the boyfriend. That's the reason why I haven't been bringing my polaroid camera out but yay, more polaroid pictures soon!
Continued our shopping spree @ Bugis Street before her work and we both got a pretty handbag of the same design but different colour. ;)
This is the only picture taken with the BFF on our date and that's my zero make-up for you, heh.
Ended my Sunday with a 4km evening jog and yummy home-cooked dinner with the parents.
I'm very, very contented :)
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
