Last week, before I fell too sick, I finally spent some quality time over dinner with Joan at ION after her work. We're totally spoilt for choice since ION has so much good food which I've yet to try. After walking up & down the mall, we finally settled down in this Japanese restaurant that everyone has been raving about for the past few months. Thank goodness we had an early dinner cos usually, the number of people queuing during peak hours is really crazy.
Located @ ION B2 (between Xin Wang HK cafe & Bread Society)
Tamagoyaki with seaweed - This was our first dish served and the moment Joan bite it, her face immediately lighted up & went: "Oh my god, really nice eh?!" I laughed really hard cos the expression on her face really needs to maintain. LOL, no joke.
Joan's Tempura Udon
Sliced Mango sushi
Fish Roe & Salmon
I really love all their dishes and there's only one word to describe them: FRESH! That's the reason why I didn't bother about the description cos I'm only gonna go on & on about how fresh they are... Even their rice are served warm and I really liked it. Yes, no doubt I'm definitely returning to Itacho Sushi again to order more than just these few dishes for greater satisfaction!
Here's a picture of us before I end this post,
Pardon my sickly face.

The Chocolate Cafe
In a blink of an eye, it's already June! We're done with half of year 2012, oh how time flies... The past six months have been the happiest time of my life. No school, no homework, no worries, meeting amazing people, occasional catch-up with friends, self-discovery, tender loving care & concern from the family & spending most of my time (in fact, everyday) with my best friend, my lover & also, my soul mate.
Well, life isn't this smooth-sailing all the time... In less than 3 weeks' time, boyfriend will be leaving for the US. During these past precious six months, he has become my pillar of strength... Someone whom I can seek comfort in and share my joy with. I really can't imagine how life's gonna be after 19th June... Especially when everyone's starting school soon. Oh wells. It's time to learn how to be on your own, Lin.
Speaking of which, BFF is starting school next week and I'm so excited for her! (And myself too cos it means that we're gonna meet up more often than ever since her school is pretty near my crib. Teeheehee!) I thought it's still nice to have a last carefree BFF date before her school starts :)
@ Jalan Riang (via Woskel Road)
Just a few hours ago, we had our BFF date here! We've heard a lot about this cafe and only through their website then we realized it's a chocolate cafe and not the usual all-day dining cafe. Interesting!
We're seated under the sunroof which pretty feels like dining @ a mini garden.
I always leave the ordering job to Beth cos she has the sweetest tooth!
Especially when the list of desserts > list of all-day dining.
Snippets of the cafe!
Seafood & cheese melts - Although we wanted something small so we can have more space for desserts, we still expected something bigger like club sandwiches and not these ol' school toasts on this traditional chinese plate. Nevertheless, it was good. Nothing special about it but we thought the seafood spread tasted just like Delifrance's!
Time to tuck in!
Waffle with salted caramel ice-cream - The waffle was okay while the salted caramel ice-cream tasted pretty unique. It's not the usual sweet salted caramel ice-cream but a really, really salty one! We paid $3 for the ice-cream topping but to our disappointment, it was a miserably small scoop! It wasn't enough for us to savour it together with our waffle, boohoo.
Left: Iced chocolate with Baileys - Very generous with their shot of Baileys, yummy!
Right: Eton Mess - It was my first try at this traditional English dessert! Something different about the mixture of strawberries, cream & meringue. Definitely a must try for meringue lovers, it's so chewy!
Look at these meringues which got my BFF salivating for more!
The waitress was really kind to offer her help to snap another shot for us! :)
But what's a BFF date without some cam-whoring right?
Teeheehee, this is only Part I cos we've to wait for her adjust her bangs after every three shots.
Then, she got annoyed and she set centre-parting as told. :D
6 years & counting... :)
What's a chocolate cafe without freshly-made chocolate truffles?
The BFF insisted that I should take a picture of the fridge with pretty desserts too, super silly :)

I'm sick & still very sick so here's a picture post!
Dinner @ Blue Mountain Cafe, Somerset 313 - L3.
Well-baked juicy & cheesy mussels for starters!
Our all-time favourite Baked Rice Al Fredo;
You're missing out big time if you haven't tried this before at the cafe!
Japanese Curry Baked Rice - I'm quite into Japanese curry recently and oh my, this was so good! Look at the generous amount of cheese, nom nom nom... The price is almost half of that of Coco Ichibanya's & definitely twice as good! Hur hur.
Time to tuck in!
Once again, Brothers, Shiqi & I were invited to Johnnie Walker Project Black Inspiration Party @ The Butter Factory.
Boyfriend will & always be my one & only (male) date, heehee.
Can you spot all 4 of us?
Free flow of Johnnie Walker!
This is how bored we were in the club... Despite VIP entry & free flow of alcohol, we are still not contented. And guess what? We even hopped over to Timbre @ The Arts House for their awesome Quattro Formaggi Pizza! Hahaha, what a joke. Conclusion? I'm no longer a party animal, heh.
Second bro was there to pick all our goodies up! Such a darling.
The love of my life, now & always :)
This is the goodies I'm talking about & each of us owns a bottle, how awesome?!
Thank you, Johnnie Walker Singapore!
On a side note, I'll be doing a selling preloved post soon and this black lace dress is up for sale at only $10 mailed.
Drop me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested. Thank you!
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
