Met up with my dearest Joan for some heart-to-heart talk cos it's been so long... And it felt sooo good! Especially we're lazing around and indulging in yummy food at a cosy cafe for the whole Saturday afternoon before my work. On a side note, the pizza was really good and we can't wait to bring Mel & Beth along next time! Stay tuned if you wanna know where's this awesome cafe!
"If someone really loves you, distance is not a problem. It's just the power of making love grow each day." How true.
For the past week, I've been sending letters to Colorado for my dearest boyfriend. To be honest, it was my very first time sending letters to someone. It feels kinda scary not knowing if the love letters will reach him safely especially when this is our only form of communication... But there's nothing else I can do apart from having faith in the postman that he's gonna send my love to Colorado safely, oh wells.
So, if you're in a relationship right now and you're able to greet your other half "Good morning" when you wake up or "Goodnight" before you sleep, I just wanna say: You're truly blessed. Really. At least you don't have to figure out the different time zones or depend on a postman to deliver your thoughts. I'm saying this because I used to take little things like this for granted and wasted time being unhappy. It was really foolish. Oh wells, things happen for a reason. I'm glad the past one week has taught me how to be even more appreciative than before. Five more weeks to go!
Catching up with a good ol' friend over a drinking session @ Heart of House. I heard their food isn't good but they've got a wide variety of beer for you to choose from. I'm never a fan of beer but I'm so in love with this lychee beer they've got from Taiwan!
This is boyfriend's niece, Ray. I've been trying my best to visit both Glenn's Mom & her on a weekly basis. :) Every time I visit, I'll help Ray with her homework, enjoy Glenn's Mom made-with-love yummy dinner, accompany Glenn's Mom to watch tv, bring Ray out to play... And this picture was taken last week when I brought Ray to scoot around in Bishan Park while I jogged. I must say, she was such a lovely companion! She's quite a darling to me and I'm really glad to be able to witness her growth even when boyfriend isn't around.

I'm finally taking a break from work and all the activities this weekend just for some me-time. I've been keeping myself so busy that my head hurts so badly for hours yesterday. It was no joke. The worst thing was, I still had to finish up two back-to-back tuition before I end my day. Urgh, I had no choice but to forgo clubbing @ Play with my girlies last night. Oh wells. I'm definitely gonna recharge myself well this weekend! :)
While Glenn was catching-up with his buddy before leaving for Colorado, I met up with Beth & Shermagne for some desserts @ Brunetti cos I thought we ought to give each other some space as well... Did I mention that when I first saw this lovely desserts cafe, I immediately texted BFF: "I must bring you here one day!" And yes, I did. :)
Beth was so excited about it that she went to google what's nice in the cafe and she found out that their hot chocolate (right) is a must-order! It's really thick & fragrant... It was so thick that Beth & I couldn't even finish a cuppa, ooops. I'm not complaining though. :)
We ordered Salted Caramel, Nutella & Rose. And our pick? Salted Caramel!
San Remo; A really unique dessert that's worth giving a try!
After desserts, we went all the way to Strictly Pancakes just to visit our dearest Lijie who was busy at work! She was really touched and I must say, it feels really good to put a smile on your friend's face, especially the one whom you've known for 13 years. Wow, I just realized that's really long!
Squeezed in a catch-up session over lunch @ Din Tai Fung with my dearest JC excos :)
If you had caught the live telecast of Li-Ning Singapore Open 2012, you would have seen me cos I was working as an usher for the VIPs during prize presentation. It was quite an easy job, spent most of the time watching all the exciting badminton matches between international players. Phew!
The biggest perk of this job was... Our wardrobe (from head to toe) was sponsored by my favourite online store: Love, Bonito! Sadly, the sizing of the wedges is a little loose. We had so much trouble walking gracefully in it, especially in front of those live cameras.
Thank God for a lovely partner, Sheyla!
That's pretty much about my life a week before and after the boyfriend left for Colorado cos I wasn't in the mood/looking good enough to take pictures, oh wells. Now that I'm feeling better and a little more positive than before, more to come! Especially when it's just 5 more weeks till I see the boyfriend on Skype, hee. Ahhh, I really can't wait for July to end! There's too much to look forward to in August! :)

Before we part...
I've been keeping myself really busy ever since the day we part. I'm so glad I'm finally having a break or rather some me-time, sitting down in the living room blogging away. I was editing pictures that were taken before we part... It was nice, really nice looking through all the lovely moments we have captured together. I can really feel all the efforts he has put in just to fulfil his promise and make me a happy little girl over & over again.
After A levels, I entered the entertainment industry. Then, I was lucky and chosen to be the main lead actress for a production. Ever since I discovered this little talent of mine, I was always hoping that we could act together someday. One fine day, the Medicacorp casting crew called boyfriend up and asked: "Are you interested to act together with your girlfriend...?" Before she could even complete her sentence, boyfriend hastily agreed because he knew that was in our bucket list!
He used to be a main lead or at least, a supporting role yet he agreed to take up this small little extra (couple) role for a scene that's not gonna last more than 5 seconds... Just to grant my little wish and make me happy :) I really, really appreciate it.
Look that happy face! He was so happy that he bumped into Huang Hui during filming after a good ten years... I must say, she's a genuinely nice & friendly lady. It was such a pleasure meeting & knowing her personally :)
One fine evening, boyfriend decided we should have a nice dinner date together so wanna make a guess where'd we go?
After researching for restaurants near my place, we decided to drop by a Japanese-western restaurant, Ma Maison @ Central. I've been hearing a lot about this restaurant @ Mandarin Gallery & Bugis Junction but I never knew they've another outlet @ Central. They've got a really nice old English ambience cos it feels pretty much like you're in a old ship cabin, really cosy & romantic as well. We love it!
We've got a beautiful view of Clark Quay too!
Racking his brains on what to order for us... Hee, such a cutie :)
Yummy escargots! The garlic & butter drizzle was just tantalizing!
Italian Style Hamburger Steak with Cheese;
Perfect combo of my favourites (steak & cheese), what's not to love?
It's like Japanese omelette rice with tender beef but we thought the taste of the brown sauce could be better... It was a little too salty for our liking.
We gave the desserts @ Ma Maison a miss and headed down to Liang Court for boyfriend's favourite Mazazu crepe!
Boyfriend's best recommendation; Double Strawberry Ice-cream crepe! It was so yummy that one wasn't enough for the both of us. Maybe it was enough for him but I was just too greedy so I ordered another one for myself, hee.
You know you love us, teeheehee.
A silly picture of boyfriend to end off our date! :D
One fine afternoon, boyfriend picked me up after work. After I boarded the car, he told me he can only make it to my Aunt's for dinner at 7pm which was supposed to be 5pm. Then, he told me he has a friend at home and I asked: "Who?" He hesitated and replied, *inserts female girl friend's name aka X". I was annoyed. When I went up to his place, X was in his bedroom and he thought I should say "Hi." so alright, I thought I should too. Guess what? We opened the door, the bedroom curtains were down and X was "sleeping" on his bed. I was so pissed that I wanted to stomp out of the room but he insisted that I should wake "her" up instead. We argued for a good five minutes and her niece, Ray started knocking on his door... So Glenn told Ray to lift up the blanket over X and guess what's underneath the blanket?
My new baby aka our second son! (HAHAHAHAHAHA!)
My son is just as huge as me and he's so friggin' huggable!
Like Father, Like Son.
(Notice that #10 there? Boyfriend has it on his shirt ever since we knew each other 6 years ago, awww... Don't understand why I went "awww"? Try translating my name, Yilin to mandarin and you'll know why! Heh.)
Isn't he such a cutie Beach wear/Sleepwear/Basketball jersey?
Here's a new family portrait!
(Pardon us, I know we're quite crazy together. Hahahaha!)
Just the night before he left for the US, he gave me yet another surprise...
"My heart will always be with you."
All the sweet precious memories he gave me before he left for the US... Priceless.
Right now, I'm asking for nothing more than our daily Skype sessions just so I can know that he's safe & sound everyday. Just 5 more weeks and 3 more days for this to happen... I know we're stronger than this, love.
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
