Close to my heart
I don't know if it's just me but I tend to spend much more time with my best friends when I feel single. Yes, feel... Cos I'm not single and I'm unavailable too. Yes, I'm very proud of that! Looking at it in a more positive light, since I will be spending the rest of my life with Glenn, it's only right for me to give my full attention to my friends especially those who're close to my heart for the next 4 years, isn't it? ;)
Last Sunday, I planned a mini surprise birthday celebration for my dearest Joan at our favourite pizza cafe; Da Paolo Pizza Bar @ Chip Bee Garden! And yes, we finally brought Beth & Mel to try it too! Our recommendations can never go wrong and of course, they loved it too!
Buffalo Wings; I can never get enough of the spicy BBQ sauce!
Bosco D'Inverno - Mozzarella, Mascarpone, Mushrooms, Black Truffles;
You gotta love the generous amount of cheese!
Mari E Monti - Tomato, Mozzarella, Smoked Salmons, Mushrooms, Pesto;
For the salmon-lovers, this is perfecto!
Apart from the generous amount of ingredients, the base/crust is really good too! It's neither too thick nor too thin, it's just right! I thought the pizzas were worth every penny. (Average pricing: $25) But... *Bitch mode: ON* It's such a pity that their service sucks big time. I hate it when I'm paying a decent amount of money to enjoy my meal yet the waiters simply cannot leave us alone with their "Do you've anymore orders?" Urgh, shut up! If I want to order, I WILL. I don't need you to watch my table like a hawk and ask me for orders every 20 minutes. I'm sorry for sounding so angst but such poor service really annoys me.
It got so annoying that we headed down to The Daily Scoop for desserts as soon as they're opened... I'm so in love with their Salted Mister Brown & brownie! Whoop, perfect combo!
BFF; Your ultimate camwhores <3
Nevertheless, we still had a great time together!
Our dearest birthday girl :)
Happy 20th Birthday, my dearest Aiai! <3
The very next day, my dearest BB (Deannah) decided to pop by my crib to teach me how to cook Bulgogi for dinner after a long day at work. Oh my, it tasted so good and what amazed me was, it was so easy to prepare/cook too! It's definitely gonna be the first dish I'm gonna prepare for the love of my life. (Cos I promised him that I'll master the art of cooking during these 4 years. Heh, wish me luck!)
Hello, Master Chef!
BB stayed over at my crib and yes, we finally relived those heart-to-heart-talks till late night... Met Beth @ SIM before heading down to Holland V for lunch @ Swensens together. I'm so thankful for the both of them, really. They're the only people whom I can write (which includes childish drawing & colouring) letters (to the boyfriend) comfortably without worrying that they're gonna be bored... Cos we're this comfortable together. :)

I've been stuffing myself with so much food lately that I think I'm growing horizontally at an exponential rate. For example, last week, I had two dim-sum feasts, one of which was even a buffet. I'm even proud to announce to the world that I thrashed everyone sitting at the table. Haha ooopsy, I don't even think it should be something a lady should be proud of but whatevers, live to eat yo. (Then I'll worry later and work-out harder, heh.)
Just a week ago, the A&F colleagues planned to visit Yum Cha for its dim-sum buffet. Although I was never a huge fan of buffet, I still went along cos I love to eat especially dim-sum! Who can resists the thought of Siew Mais, Hargau, Egg tarts & the list goes on.... Moreover, I think it's time for me to learn how to be a little more sociable & I'm so glad to be hanging out with Bernice, Martin & Benn for the first time! All of them are so funny together that I felt like it's been such a long time I had such a hearty laughter since... Really thankful for friends :)
We had so much food that we had to resort to playing 'Guessing the password' to finish up all the food on the table so they won't go to a waste. The above are the must-orders (I'm not sure about their exact names): Carrot cake, Mango with prawn fritters, Banana & red bean paste wafer, Char siew sou, Char siew pau while my all-time favourite Egg tarts & Custard buns are kinda disappointing. Then again, I shall not complain too much since we're only paying about $24 for such a wide variety of dim-sum! ;)
The Yum Cha Challengers!
If you realized, I've been carrying this little bag around... And guess what's inside?
My dearest Shine knows that I always have no time to eat since I'm always rushing to one place to another yet I still don't make it a habit to keep any snacks inside my bag. So, she came all the way down to Chinatown (which was quite out of her way) just to pass me a bag of Granola/Muesli bars. It's really sweet of her, isn't it? :) It doesn't matter how expensive or cheap the gift is, it's the thought that really counts. Cos this silly girl was afraid that I might be expecting too much from her. Just so you know, a simple gesture like this never fail to make my day. Thank you so much, dearie :)
Our schedule always clashes somehow but yay, I'm so glad they (Amerie & Jamie) finally brought me to Swee Choon! The location isn't very friendly (I tried to search for it with boyfriend but failed very badly) and the setting isn't very glamorous either but who cares? Singaporeans only care about the quality & price of the food! I don't deny that I'm one of those Singaporeans.
Look at our table when it's only 3/5 of the food we've ordered! We kinda over-estimated ourselves but thank God it wasn't a buffet so we weren't "forced" to finish up all the food. I still feel quite guilty for wasting food though. My personal opinion? Perhaps I expected a little too much so they didn't taste as awesome as I thought it would be. No doubt, they're still cheap & good!
Spent the rest of our night bumming around in a corner of Macs with our favourite Gongcha...
I can never get enough of such cosy times with my loved ones :)
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
