I miss being happy. I miss... Looking into the eyes of the one whom I love dearly, feeling assured by the look in his eyes. I miss holding hands, cuddlings, little sweet nothings... I miss looking forward to each & everyday, waking up happy & falling asleep happy, knowing that I've got someone whom I can spend my day with. I miss having someone to rant at and hug me to make my day a better one whenever I'm upset or crying like a little baby. I miss having your undivided attention on me and nothing else. I even miss simple things like... Holding a proper conversation.
For the past two months, it's probably the hardest days of my life... I've been keeping myself really busy and that's only because I don't have a choice. I hate crying almost every other nights even up till this very moment, I hate looking tired, I hate the feeling of holding back my tears whenever I'm thinking of him in the bus/train and especially when I've got photoshoots the next day... I've been trying to be as matured as I can be, to be as strong and independent as I can be... I'm still trying very hard but... I'm only a girl, there's only so much emotions I can hide and keep inside of me.
I'm always filled with envy whenever I see couples everywhere I go. I miss feeling the way they're feeling too, I really do... No girl should ever go through whatever I'm going through. I always say: "As long as there is love, anything and everything is possible." Yeap, I'm trying very, very, very hard... Holding onto this love with only letters/e-mails, photographs, a one-metre tall teddy bear, facebook chats that depends very much "luck" due to the difference in time zones... No webcam, no proper conversations, no attention. I don't even have a clear idea of how he looks like right now, I have to depend on the recent photos his school/friends have tagged him. Why is this long-distance relationship so much harder than others? Everyday I question myself: "Why?" and I don't seem to have any answers.
And I'm just, holding on...
P.S. Be glad that your love is just right by your side, even if it's just a phone call away. Don't ever take that for granted.

Like my title suggests, my Tuesday was indeed such a surprise with all the impromptu plans! My day began with Greenfields commercial shoot... And guess what? I was informed only a day before that I was shortlisted. Phew, thank God I was available on Tuesday! So here's Shannon & Luiza, my gorgeous girlfriends for a picnic under the friggin' hot sun! As you can see, we're busy cam-whoring & chit-chatting while waiting for the shoot to set up... Heh.
Some behind-the-scene shots... Yes, all the print-ads you see everywhere are definitely no easy feat! We've to maintain our smiles while tolerating the heat, ahhhh. Thank God for the awesome crew to chop-chop and finish up as fast as they could!
Finished Part I of the shoot in the morning and I had some free time before Part II begins in the late afternoon. In the mean time, met up with my dearest Deannah for a good healthy lunch @ Subway followed by some good & cheap tau huey!
This bowl of homemade goodness costs only $0.50, YES OMG. The syrup is really fragrant as well, it's nothing close to those syrup that's thick which makes you feel really sinful after eating it.
Happy happy BBBG, heehee! We are no big fans of those popular beancurds like Lao Ban, U-U Tau Huey etc. I like Lao Ban too but I guess, traditional tau huey still taste the best and moreover, it's sooo cheap! On a random note, I just realized we got photobombed by a primary school boy behind. Heh!
And of course, good things must share!
This homemade goodness is located @ Serangoon Gardens Hawker Centre :)
For the whole time, I was complaining non-stop about my flat hair (cos I think I've got a really flat head), my damaged split ends (all thanks to my laziness to visit the salon for treatments after perming, boohoo.) etc... After our sweet treat, we had 45 minutes to spare so guess what's next?
Yesss, we visited the nearby hair salon...
It was supposed to be a hair trim until I looked at my hair-stylist's hair and I asked: "Is it possible for me to have some fringe parting like yours?" Cos I had that side parting since forever and I always wonder if it's possible to have some fringe. Then, she went: "Of course!" and yeap... I wanted my fringe to be swept to the side but my hair was too straight! Urgh, it was so stubborn that I had no choice but to cut bangs.
It's a good change but I never liked bangs. I had it when I was secondary 2... And I'm always asking BFF: "Why you like to cover your eyes? Not irritating meh?" I think she looks really cute in bangs thou... But not me. I think I look.... I don't know. I don't regret cos I can always grow my hair again... But I just can't wait for the day I can finally grow to the fringe that I wanted it to be! I'm really not used to it. In fact, it makes me feel pretty insecure about myself. So, HAIR, PLEASE FASTER GROW.
Do you remember I still have a part II of the Greenfields commercial shoot?
Yes, I know I look completely different. I don't think anyone will recognize that it's actually the same person for both shoots... Lol, cheap thrill much. Anyways, meet my gorgeous new friend, Audrey Lange! ;)
They're both so gorgeous, don't you think? :)
And you know what's the best thing? We get to work and "conduct" a food-tasting session at the same time @ Chillax cafe, haha! Cos we're supposed to eat but not everything since they're served as props.
Nachos with beef --- I love the beef that was cooked to a level of medium rare, yums! But honestly, I wouldn't pay $18 for this.
Caesar Salad -- We kinda like the healthier option cos we almost finished it up, ooops!
Guess what's next after shoot? Yes, it was yet another impromptu plan. My lovely crew offered me free tickets to Nelly Furtado's private showcase/live concert so I just had to give Deannah a call to ask if she was interested... We're no big fans of Nelly Furtado but as usual, we're always so ever spontaneous!
Let's go, Nelly Furtado!
For the whole time, I couldn't stop complaining about how under-dressed I was... Deannah just had to console me by replying: "You swag mah." Hahaha! But who wears denim shorts & flip-flops to a live concert right?
It turns out that we expected a little too much... It was an open space which was not air-conditioned.
Phew, guess it was blessing in disguise. ;)
Check out these cool earring light-stick hoops!
We waited for a good two hours for Nelly Furtado to show up (grrrr) but thank God she was worth the wait. I must say, she was so damn good. I'm sorry I've got no pictures of Nelly cos I was really enjoying myself the whole time. I don't understand how people can hold their camera high up in the air through out... Come on, just enjoy and immerse yourself in the whole atmosphere!
As you can see, I really enjoyed myself! Both of us are honestly no big fan of Nelly Furtado but we're practically jumping up and down like little fan-girls and dancing along (especially me, lol)... It was really good reliving those crazy times we had in secondary school. So people, you should really let loose and have such silly fun like this once in a blue moon! Trust me, it's really awesome!
I must say, I really love my so-called job! All thanks to it, I've been lucky to catch amazing talents like David Archuleta & Nelly Furtado up-close & live for free! I wonder who's next... Heh. Apart from meeting celebrities, I'm even luckier that I've met this really fun and lovely bunch of friends too! :)
(Pardon my bare face, all thanks to my swollen eyes. Heh.)
Till then, xx.

BKK, Here we go!
After months of contemplation, my dearest babygirls and I finally got down to booking the tickets for our very first getaway @ Thailand, Bangkok two months ago. Whoop! Actually, we've been talking about it since forever... Since the end of 'O' levels when we're 16, followed by the end of my 'A' levels then we've got to wait for the poly peeps (Mel & Beth) to finish up their last semester and yes, F-I-N-A-L-L-Y!
It was my very first time traveling without my parents and everyone, including myself thought I was gonna be really homesick during that 5D4N but we're so wrong! We're having so much fun together, squeezing on a queen-sized bed, taking turns to wake each other up in the morning, spent the whole morning squabbling about "Ai, I really feel like pushing you off the bed last night. I had no space t sleep you know?!" or "Woah, you just spasm like free last night lor! Just kick only." or "Whalao, you just put your legs on top of mine the whole night. Shiok hor?" Come to think of it, it's really quite hilarious! Oh, how I love my babygirls... :)
Excited & tired us all ready to scoot off to BKK!
Checked-in @ Citin Pratunam which was hidden all the way at the end of an alley. It's still pretty convenient but definitely not advisable if you're staying alone/pair and not a group. The interior of the room isn't very impressive but it's really pretty cosy and pocket-friendly! Only about 50sgd/night ;)
The first thing you have to find @ Platinum Mall is not their wholesale clothings but Penn Crepe, located at the basement. They serve both cold and hot crepes and they are super yummy! Both Beth & I had it almost every single day without fail... She even had a cold crepe on her left-hand and hot crepe on her right-hand, how exaggerating but yes, it's that yummilicious! ;)
We had an early night on the first day to energize ourselves well for the next day!
Our daily dose of coffee/tea at our favourite street-stall every morning!
Morning faces squeezing in our hotel's tuk-tuk to drop us somewhere nearer to the BTS!
Please don't ask me why were we so excited to take the BTS, lol. I guess it was just a tourist-thing to do!
Off we go to Mo Chit Station for our Chatuchak weekend market!
There are a few things you need to eat @ Chatuchak:
1. Fried Quail eggs.
It's really yummy & I heard it's frigging over-priced in Singapore!
2. BBQ meatballs
When you bite 'em, you'll wonder if they could actually bounce on the floor... Yes, it's that QQ!
3. Thai Iced-tea
Perfect drink to quench your thirst under the crazy scorching hot sun!
4. Coconut/Thai Iced Tea Ice-cream
If a drink is still not enough, I'm sure this will definitely help to bring the heat down.
Last but not least, 5. Choconana.
This frozen banana is definitely a healthier choice as compared to ice-cream but surely just as yummy! I loved it so much that I couldn't stop chanting "Choconana" while bouncing on the bed the next morning to wake my babygirls up, hahaha ooops!
My favourite buy in Chatuchak has gotta be this! Such pretty arm-candy <3
I suppose this is BFF's favourite loot in Chatuchak cos it was from me, teeheehee! So pretty, isn't it? :)
Did I mention my dearest Beth is a half-thai? (Yeap, that explains her pretty features.) We met up with her relatives for steamboat dinner @ MK Restaurant. The restaurant has a theme song and the whole crew will start singing and dancing along at a certain timing, it's really super cute! Cos I dare to say that Singaporeans will never do that, hurhur.
For the next few evenings, we had takeaways from the street stalls so that we can enjoy our feast, feeding one another while watching tv in our room! Such dinner times were simple yet so lovely :)
The early-birds every single day and guess what?
Krispy Kreme for breakfast in bed! <3
Visited the Big C (something like Singapore's Giant) on our very last evening to do a last-minute Thai goodies (coconut candy, pork floss with egg roll etc.) shopping for our family, relatives & friends!
Take a look at our cart! There's even milk, gosh?! I think BFF almost wanted to buy the whole Big C back to Singapore, lol. I must say, their milk is really very nice thou... And not to forget, my daily dose of huge & cheap Meiji yakult too!
Apart from grocery shopping, our last night in BKK was a really long and eventful one...
We prayed at the famous Four Face Buddha Temple...
Before we had a good time chilling at Retro, a bar beside Ratchthewi BTS station...
And squeezing our loots into our luggage and guess what? We ended our night at only 5 in the morning!
Yummy Phad Thai to start our over-slept morning!
Crazy things you do when you're a tourist... Can you imagine if we posed like this outside ION? Faints, lol.
Dropped by Siam Paragon before we ended our BKK trip, the main reason for our visit was to takeaway boxes of Krispy Kreme back to +65! But here's a few snacks that's a must-try at the mall:
They make ice-cream with liquid nitrogen on the spot for you, friggin' cool! We chose Vanilla Madagascar and it tasted pretty much like the chinese Big Rabbit sweet, if you know what I'm talking about... Pretty unique taste for an ice-cream!
I've no idea what's this called! But look at the generous amount of coconut marshmallowy cream... Ahhhh!
Can I have some now, please?
It's pretty silly to intro cupcakes from Thailand but the red velvet cupcakes from this store is really good... Very fresh and moist. Cupcake lovers, you should give it a try! The price is the same as SG's one thou.
After a good 5D4N, we had to end our trip with an exciting amazing race! All thanks to the crazy jam in Thailand, no joke. In Singapore, when you're late, you hitch a cab but no, not for Thailand. We're so worried that we won't be able to catch our flight back home. We had to resort to finding two tuk-tuks to transport us together with our crazy amount of luggage to the nearest airport link station so that we can take a train to the airport, phew! Such times really made me appreciate our lovely transport system in Singapore!
On a side note, I kinda love the fact that we're traveling on our own, without our parents... I realized, it's only times like this, we learn a whole lot more cos we're forced to be independent. Definitely the best trip I've ever had and I can't wait for our next getaway trip together already! :) Till then, xx.
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
