Facial @ Skininc
If you know me well enough, you will know that I'm pretty much a girl-next-door and I don't really wear make-up on a daily basis. So when you see me around in school, I'm always walking around with a bare face. Even on my usual make-up days, it consists of only concealer, some eye-shadow, eyeliner & mascara and nothing on my face, not even blusher. As much as I love having smooth-looking skin, I always think that foundation, loose powder will clogged up my pores and worsen my already-not-so-good complexion, boohoo. That's why having a clear & bright skin is really exceptionally important to me.
Since young, I was never one of those lucky girls who own smooth and fair glowing skin, sadly. So since I was as young as fifteen-year-old, I visited the dermatologist for acne treatment then I continued to go for my monthly facial appointments for painful extractions. Oh my, you have no idea how much I dread going for facial appointments because of all the pain I have to go through! :(
As soon as I heard of the good news that Skininc will be my new monthly facial sponsor, I was really excited, so excited that I headed down right after I'm done with my exams to try out their award-winning facial treatment! **Although skininc may be my new facial sponsor, I promise I will still give you my utmost, honest opinion. (:
Here's just a few of the numerous awards they've won! ;)
After a short skin analysis with my therapist and changing into my robe, I'm all ready to fix some of my facial concerns:
Dull skin (lack of radiance), dehydration & whiteheads.
After cleansing, some neck & shoulder massage (just what I needed right after exams, ahhh!) and applying a layer of cooling mask on my face, that's me looking like some StarWars figure while receiving my Power Fix treatment!
This Power Fix treatment is hailed the "no knife face-lift" and the benefits of this LED blue light include:
- Cleanse the skin of harmful bacteria that causes spots and pimples
- Reduces inflammation
- Prevents further breakouts
- Reduces the size of skin pores
- Minimize scarring
- Smoothes the texture of the skin
Honestly, as much as I hate going to facial treatments due to painful extractions in the past, I thought it was still the most effective method to remove all the dirt clogged inside my pores which was why I still had reservations that just one session will be able to brighten up my face, giving me a clean and clear skin and no more "strawberry" nose (I always describe my nose as a strawberry whenever it's clogged with whiteheads, haha I know it's damn ewww)....
Once I was done with the treatment, I quickly jumped out of the bed to look into the mirror and I was truly blown away! Just so you know, this picture was taken immediately after the treatment ended with zero make-up, not even any form of concealer. The best is, there was no red-ness or swelling at all and in fact, my face never looked this radiant before! Ahhh, you have no idea how amazed and happy I was! (: (:
Here's some good news for you, my readers! Skininc is very generous to offer my readers 50% off on the first trial, yay! You just have to quote: "Yilin's blogger promotion". So what are you waiting for? Quickly call 6536 6789 now to make an appointment NOW. ;)

Never felt this confident taking pictures with a bare face & zero make-up! ;)
Lastly, thank you so much for pampering me, SkinInc & Gushcloud <3
Till then, xx!

KLroadtrippin Part II
Ohaiyo, I'm back to keep you updated for the second half of our #KLroadtrippin! ;)
#KLroadtrippin -- Day Three
After a night of partying, of course it's time for some comfort food the next morning! Lucky for those (including me, heehee) who could wake up for a nice yummy brunch @ Chuai Heng Restaurant, 231, Jalan Bukit Bintang 55100, Kuala Lumpur that was located 5-10 minutes away from our apartments @ One Stop Residences!
Look at the amount of food we (over)ordered! Will's doing again, tsk tsk.
As usual, doing the Asian thing... I'm guilty of it as well, heh.
And here's the top 2 MUST-TRY(s) in the restaurant....
#1: Peking duck! Guess how much it costs? ONLY 45RM!!! We even ordered two for one table and for the rest of the meat, we got the kitchen to cooked them with fried rice & ee-mian! ;)
#2: My all-time favourite custard buns! Don't be deceived by its plain humble chocolatey exterior....
OHEMGEE, NEED I SAY MORE?! So craving for it now, yums~
After dim-sum, we headed down to Pavilion for a some shopping while the boys went up to Genting for some gambling! Due to the long night before, the ladies were feeling too tired to even shop so Ryan brought half of us for some good massage located opposite The Royale Bintang, Kualu Lumpur. It's a pity that I didn't note down the name of that place but it's situated at level 2 of a grey building.
The massage even comes with fresh fruits and freshly squeezed juice! And guess what? Only 53RM for 45 minutes of full body massage! But in the end, I tipped my masseur an additional 20RM thou...
Hmmm... Apart from the fact that she has done a really good job, she felt really (grand)motherly to me. When she was massaging my hands, she asked: "Why so cold?!" So I replied, "Yeah, I'm feeling really cold here." And she said: "Really? I'm breaking out in sweat here, you should've told me earlier!" Then, she tucked my hands under the blanket and placed two pillows on top of me to keep me warm.... I felt really loved & touched :") and... I don't know, she's already so old yet she has such a strenuous job, it's really pretty sad :( So yeah, I thought tipping her 20RM was the least I could do for her...
After massage, we quickly rushed back home to change out for yummy dinner time!
This is the main reason why we headed down to Oversea Restaurant @ 84-86 Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur. The roasted pork and especially the char siew is so yummy! Now I know why we had to call the restaurant earlier in the afternoon to reserve it, yums! Not very cheap thou.... 60RM for a plate like this. Oh wells, we're in a restaurant afterall.
A really satisfying dinner to charge us up for yet another long party night ahead @ Zouk KL.... ;)
Awwww.... So much loveeee. Gotta love this picture of these lovebirds!
Really love capturing such candid moments <3
I didn't have much energy/mood left to party for the second night @ Zouk KL, I guess I'm getting old or perhaps, I'm truly not a party girl afterall. :/ So we headed back early for Fatman (Lok Lok) Steamboat right beside our apartment!
(LOL YES, EAT AGAIN.)
Boyfriend told me this Lok Lok is rated the best in Malaysia and I didn't believe him at first until I tried it and I was like: "Hmmmmmmmmm.... Indeed." It's just really different from the one I always eat in Johor Bahru. Especially the bagua and mushrooms that tasted soooo gooodddd~
#KLroadtrippin -- Day Four (Last Day)
Headed down to Siew Ngap Fai @ 2-40 Lorong Yap Hin, Pudu, 55100, Kuala Lumpur for some more char siew after check-out. I thought the ones we had the night before @ Oversea Restaurant was better thou cos the charsiew here was abit more charred. And I bet the boss took advantage of us since we entered his stall as a big group... Such three small plates cost about 150RM like "Are you serious, boss?!" All of us had only 2-3 pieces and I can't believe this cost more than the tze char feast we had @ Long Grilled Fish Restaurant! Urgh.
Of course that few pieces of charsiew weren't enough to fill up our stummy! So we headed down to Chen Chen Restaurant that was right at the corner of the same street for some legit roasted goose and roasted pork. Look at the generous amount of food we had? And it costs us only 22RM each, yums in the tums! ;)
And of course, we're all ready to set off for Singapore!
Halfway through the journey, there was a jam and everyone else in the car was sleeping... So yeah, I bet you could tell how bad the jam was and how bored my dear Will was too, lol.
Nevertheless, it was indeed a very memorable and fun-filled trip for me since it was my first time traveling to Malaysia without my parents and moreover, I was traveling with such a big group of people who're really funny and spontaneous! And now, I can't wait to visit Malaysia's LegoLand, Hello Kitty Land & etc. with them next, yay!
And, thank you for taking time to read two such long-winded posts in a row! (:
Shall talk about the amazing facial treatment I had with Skininc before I went to Kuala Lumpur in my next post! Just so you know, for all the pictures I've taken in KLroadtrippin (excluding those party pictures), I had no foundation/loose powder/BB cream on except my usual eye make-up. And no, I know absolutely NOTHING about Photoshop as well cos I don't even have it in my desktop, lol. Yesss, I can't wait to share with you guys!! Afterall, good things must share! ;)
Till then, xx!

KLroadtrippin Part I
Hello, I'm sorry for the lack of updates! I was really busy with school for the past two weeks and right after my exams ended, I headed down to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with a total of 20+ people to spend our long weekend there. Yes, that's really a very, very huge bunch. It was my first time traveling with SOOOOOOO MANY PEOPLE too. But honestly, I'm so glad that the whole trip turned out so much more fun than what I've initially expected, all thanks to the ladies! <3
And for now, I shall let the pictures do the talking! ;)
#KLroadtrippin -- Day One
Left Singapore around 4 in the morning... There was a torrential downpour that morning and it was really dangerous... Thank God for a safe trip & a nice cooling weather after... And kudos for our 4 drivers too cos I'm sure that was such a mentally straining 3-4 hours journey!
While everyone else was catching up on their sleep when we've reached our apartment, the ultimate foodie couple decided to head out to satisfy our hunger pangs instead, heh.
Cos we couldn't decide what to eat so yes, it's time for dim-sum again. I mean, you can never go wrong with dim-sum right? So yes, headed down to Luk Yu Tea House @ Starhill Gallery, 181 Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur that's just right opposite Pavilion!
Their XiaoLongBaos (one of the best I've ever eaten) and XO Carrot cake is highly recommended!
So happy to see Krystal in KL too! It's a pity she had to leave the next morning thou :(
Had a good gym time and nap in the afternoon before pigging out again... Lol, oooops. Headed down to Wong Ah Wah @ Jalan Alor, Kuala Lumpur for their famous tze char. (Sorry, no pictures that night) No doubt that their food was good but... Traveling there was really quite troublesome cos it's really packed and when we reached there, we still had to wait at least 10-15minutes for every dish to be served. By the time we had dinner, it was already supper time. :(
But if you're there, you gotta try their fatty char siew soy sauce noodle, salted egg pork ribs and squids... Sooooooooooooooooooo good!!! Yums in the tums!
Indeed very challenging to drive in Malaysia, you need 5-6 people to guide you for your blindspots...
It was really pretty hilarious, lol.
#KLroadtrippin -- Day Two
So almost everyone in the group had been raving about this Kin Kin Restoran @ Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur since the start of the trip so yay, here we are!
(FYI, they serve only one dish that's the ban mee in the whole restaurant)
And finally, after a long half an hour wait................
10 bowls of FAMOUS KIN KIN BAN MEE for 6 ladies! IT'S SO YUMMY WITH CHILLI!!! The chilli's just so damn gooddddd~ But please do not add too much chilli. It might not burn your tongue but it's definitely gonna make your stomach start churning. Overall, it's really worth the wait! ;)
Headed down to Alexis @ 29 Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru, Kuala Lumpur for some desserts after Ohsofickle & Hungover Sundays dropped their goods at Bazzaro KL! I will never say 'no' to desserts, can you?
So we ordered (clockwise): Black Forest, Tiramisu, Chocolate Banana Marscopone & Peach & Banana crumble. And I thought only the Tiramisu was worth the calories... In fact, it's one of the best Tiramisus I had cos of the caramelized nuts and a tinge of cheese! Yums~
So all of us headed back to our apartment to rest again.... And just when I thought I was all ready to skip dinner for a long party night ahead, I got woken up by Tams in shock to join the ladies for dinner!
Hahahahah yes EATING AGAINNNN, we're all such foodies. ^^
Tams' KL friends, Brian, Kimberley & Shannon brought us to Long Grilled Fish Restaurant @ Jalan Kelab Jinjang, Kuala Lumpur for some yummilicious tze char which was about 20 minutes drive from the central!
Look at how much lychee we have in one jug!!!
Hahahahaha, Sof's expression!! She was really amazed and even told our KL friends: "In Singapore, you will only see 3 lychees in one jug." LOL, she's really damn cute and funny!
Everything was just so good!!! (Minus the hokkien mee, I thought Singapore's better thou) The tofu (yes, even that black colour thingy at the corner is tofu too), stingray, calamaris & squids, meat & SALTED EGG ESCARGOTS!!! Yes, they even serve escargots in such tze char restaurants. I was so amazed and the best thing was, they tasted so good~
And guess how much this meal cost us?! ONLY 125RM!!!!! WE ALMOST DIED. IT'S SO CHEAP!!! I just did my calculation and guess what? It's only about $5.60 per pax! OH GAWDDDD, definitely worth the drive and calories! ;)
Thank God for Tams who can eat as much as me (so I don't feel too much of a glutton, heh) and motivate me to work even harder in the gym after all the calories that we had!
Headed back to the apartment to get changed & some pre-drinking before a long party night ahead...
And I shall end off this post with some madness we had in Zouk KL....
I'm so sorry for such a lengthy post, will post up KLrooadtrippin Part II soon ;)
Till then, xx! <3
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
