I really, really love how chill my life is right now.
The past few months have been really eventful, so hectic that I practically have to rush to everywhere I go. There would always be somewhere for me to go or something for me to attend to such that I forgot to give myself some breathing space and also, to spend time with the majority who matters a whole lot to me too. And now, I finally feel.... A sense of release and relief to be able to manage my own time without accommodating to anyone else. Just like at this very moment, it's such simple joy listening to my top favorite song on repeat mode and blogging my thoughts away... (:
So last week, I finally had a great time catching up with my OG mates... I'm the only biz kid amongst them so I don't really see them much around in school. And you've no idea how happy I was that we finally all made time together to catch up on our lives!! <3
I was craving big time for Ayam Penyet so heehee, they gave in to me and headed down to Ayam Penyet Ria @ Far East Plaza to satisfy my cravings! We thought the smashed chicken was a little too dry thou... And the chilli is really spicy! When I say 'spicy', it's no joke man but still shiok! ;)
Oh, if you're a big eater, don't ever order that puny pricey bowl of Mee Rebus.
Headed down to Delicious @ Scotts Square for desserts and of course, for a better location/ambience for our major catching-up session! Despite their a-little-hostile service, this is definitely a good place for gatherings! And oh, if I'm not wrong, it's a Halal restaurant too. ;)
Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice-cream //
Nothing like "wow" but it's still good.
Red Velvet Cake //
For the first time, the red velvet cake was served warm. Not exactly very warm but it definitely wasn't cold. So the first bite of it was kinda weird.... But after few more bites, I must say, this red velvet cake is pretty good! ;)
Took several group shots cos of Naj but his eyes are still.... #fail.
Just us girls being girls & neglected our dear Naj for awhile, heh.
So thankful for my dearest OG mates aka my first group of friends in UB, really. I mean, honestly, when you first stepped into school for orientation, most people just wanna make friends for the sake of making friends and as soon as they've formed their own cliques in their own course, no one really cares about keeping in touch with OG mates anymore. Don't you agree? But I'm so glad that although we're coming to an end of our Year 1, we're still making the effort to meet up, talking about everything random under the sun, acting silly (cos we're just being ourselves, as shown above) and sharing our joy & woes together (:
Till then, xx!

Blessed 21st Birthday - Part IV
Hola! This will be the last post of my blessed 21st birthday, heh. My dearest best girlfriend in UB, Cece & I have been wanting to celebrate our birthdays together for the longest time since our birthdays only 4 days apart... But I was either sick or busy, boohoo. And yay, we finally met up last week to have a good meal together! ;)
I brought her to Tanuki Raw @ OC since we're such hardcore fans of Japanese cuisine! It was my second visit there (didn't blog about the first cos I didn't have my camera with me back then) and coincidentally, I ordered almost the exact same dishes again! And yumsss~ They all still tasted sooo good!
We visited the restaurant about 6+ pm? And yay, it was their daily happy hour (5-8pm)! All thanks to Cece who ordered a beer (cos I'm no alcoholic fan), I managed to order half dozen of fresh oysters all for myself at only $2 each and this plate of fresh sashimi at $5! We've definitely started our dinner right ;)
Yay, "Singapore's Best Happy Hour" indeed!
Rockstar ($10) // Seared salmon draped over mozarella & covered with Mentaiko sauce.
My oh my, how can any salmon & cheese lovers resist this goodness!? Fyi, Tanuki Raw is the sister restaurant of The Sushi Bar so if you wanna enjoy yummy sushi without queuing, I'm sure you know where to go now! ;) *Don't say I never share, hur hur.*
Tanuki Aburi ($11) // Yuzu salmon, mentaiko scallop & spicy crab meat torched on a scallop shell.
When Cece savored a bite of this, she immediately went: "OMG THIS IS SOOO GOOD!!!"
Godfather Don ($15) // Chicken with pomodoro sauce, melted mozarella cheese & grated parsley.
We wanted something different since we had so much salmon and hmmm, quite a disappointment cos this definitely didn't taste as good as the others. There was more skin than meat and it was pretty soggy too... No no. Fyi, it was served with a huge bowl of rice seperately (:
After some shopping, we decided to head back to OC for some desserts! Oh, girls~
Situated right opposite Tanuki Raw.
I must say, it was such a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
The ice-cream was not smooth at all, it tasted rough, literally. You can taste those bits in the after-taste. :/ I thought Red Velvet was gonna be our safest choice so we didn't bother trying before ordering but boy, we're so wrong. We didn't even finish the ice-cream cos it was totally a waste of our calories, grrrr.
Nevertheless, it was a good place for me to surprise my dearest Cece with our birthday friendship gifts! (:
HEE, SUCH HAPPIIIIIIIIII GIRLS ^^
Make a guess? (:
Our friendship earrings (:
I wanted to get her the exact same Kate Spade bracelet she got me for my birthday so we can have a friendship band. (Don't laugh, we're just being girls. Don't you do this too? Lol.) Thank God classmates told me she has already bought one for herself, phew. Racked my brains a little and decided to get us both these pairs of earrings! Yay, I'm so glad she loves it!
Thank you for always making me feel like a special important friend of yours, for always being there for me especially when I was at my lowest point and for always sharing our joy & sorrow together. Totally can't wait for next year to come! I'm sure we both know why <3

Blessed 21st Birthday - Part III
In a blink of an eye, it has already been a month since my birthday ended. Wow, time really flies. I must say, the post birthday month is definitely a very, very eventful one. Good or bad? Hmmm, I choose to see everything in a very positive light. I'm also very sorry that even after a month, I'm still blogging about my birthday due to the lack of updates. Apart from school work, running errands, catching up with all my dear friends and falling sick every now and then, I just wanted some space that I deserve.... And I'm glad I had :)
So back to my blessed 21st birthday - part III.... What's adulthood without some clubbing and alcohol right? It's actually quite funny to see how my girlfriends and I got so high with our eyes getting smaller with every picture taken. Haha, ooops. And for now, I shall let the pictures do the talking ;)
YAY, my favourite sour plum shots!
For every one shot toasted, the birthday girl aka me has to drink two shots. Poor me.
My BFF; Love you to the moon & back.
Joan simply couldn't open her eyes for all the pictures so we decided to just give in and close our eyes instead (as seen in the picture above), lol.
Krys & Eli (:
SOOOO HAPPIIIII TOGETHERRRR~
"Okay Joan, I shall help you to open your eyes."
My two dearest Melssss (:
Just us being Joan, lol.
Candid shot and look at Mel's face, lol.
A big thank you to everyone who wished me that night, I really appreciate it. So glad to have met this group of ladies who showed me the true definition of 'spontaneous' and 'partying hard', lol. A big thank you to all my ladies especially my babygirls, I had a really awesome birthday night. (:
Till then, xx!
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
