I'm feelin' 22 - Part I
Just one week ago, it was one of the best weekends I've ever had in Singapore. Of course it has to be the best since it was my birthday weekend right? If you've been following me on my Instagram, you'll know that my sweetest boy secretly planned a stay-cation for me. Yes, it was my first ever stay-cation in Singapore! How I wish he wasn't working but spending this F1 weekend with me thou... But wells, I guess I can't be too greedy.
So yes, I shall relive the past weekend at this space (before I go to work too) so here you go:
M knows that I love anything and everything spicy. I can't even do without chilli for almost every meal. So he told me to meet him at Katong for the famous 328 Katong Laksa! I love that he hates cockles (aka 'hum') so I get to savour every mouthful of Laksa with at least one 'hum', heehee. It's definitely worth a try, albeit a tad bit expensive ($5/small bowl). I definitely prefer the old kopitiam atmosphere as compared to the newly renovated one thou.
After the meal, I realized I've got chilli flakes stuck between my teeth. It always happens to me, urgh so embarrassing. Thank God it's only M. So I told him I needed the washroom and he went: "Oh, let's walk to that building where Group Therapy is." (cos he told me he wanted to bring me there for high tea) Instead of leading me to the nearest washroom on the second level, he brought me to the toilet on the third level. In my head, I was like ??? but I was in his hood so I thought maybe he knows which washroom is cleaner. (How naive) Cos guess what? After that toilet break, we took the lift up and when the door opened, I realized I was inside a hotel already?! "Oh my gawdddddd!!!!"
I bet the expression of my face was priceless. :O
Opened the room door to see a lovely bathtub scattered with flower petals on my left and a pretty princess balloons bouquet and a paper bag of gifts sitting on the coffee table right in front of me. At that moment, I honestly felt like I'm the luckiest girl in the world.... <3
Before I took all the pictures above, it was really nice spending some quiet time opening the gifts with my love together with some Westlife music playing in the background. He's such a romantic boy, isn't it? Apart from the expensive stay-cation and balloons bouquet, he gave me a pen with my name carved on it and some coupons he designed himself too, WAY TOO CUTE. ^^
Can't help but to tear when I flipped through all the different coupons for me...
How did I get so lucky to meet such a sweetheart? :")
For the past x months, I've been bugging him to bring me to East Coast Park for a run. I don't know but the thought of it just makes me happy, hee. But honestly, ECP is pretty out of the way even though he stays in the east side. So he did his homework and realized the hotel has a shuttle bus to ECP too! Spent lots of quality time strolling from one end to almost the other and back talking about everything under the sun... And ended the evening satisfying my cravings for sinful pratas! Yes, this is my favourite kinda date (:
And I'm happy to say one check off the bucket list!
How easily-contented I know, heh.
Headed back to the hotel and the first thing we did was....
TO SQUEEZE MY HUGE PIMPLE!!!
It was an ultimate combo pimple, like 3-in-1. I know you can't believe this (cos pictures can be so deceiving sometimes) but my skin complexion was really bad. Even my brother was urging me to go for a facial, that's how bad it was. :( However, I've been using this wonderful invention called Clarisonic lately and'm so thankful for it! Just one use and my pimples started clearing up! No joke.
Okay, I shall stop digressing and talk more about it in details in my upcoming posts so stay tuned! ;)
While playing with the flower petals....
"Boo, can you decorate the bath tub just like this next time?"
"Errr.... Ya. Cos is I decorate one what."
"Huh? Not the hotel decorate one meh!?!?!?"
"No!!!!!! I even had to go and buy flower petals just for you leh." *feeling unjustified
"Ohhh... Cos it looks exactly the same as the hotel's brochure mah...."
HAHAHAHAHAHA, I couldn't help but burst into laughter when he replied me. :x
I guess he's really a true blue old-fashioned romantic boy and I love it! Heh.
And oh, please pardon our super singlish conversation.
(Cos I'm not gonna pretend like I speak perfect English all the time)
Right after that conversation, the doorbell rang and yet another surprise from the sweetheart (:
Always such a sweetheart.
We woke up early the next morning to enjoy our free breakfast so pardon my tired sans make up face. Sadly, the peranakan breakfast wasn't as good as we expected, oh wells. Spent the next few hours chilling in their club lounge, watching Masterchef and even had a power nap. Cos the check-out time for club suite was 4pm, SHIOK.
Last few shots before leaving our 2D1N paradise at Katong Village Hotel! <3
We wanted to try out the legendary old-school breakfast nearby called Chin Mei Chin Confectionery but we're too late. Oh wells, we're definitely coming back to try it next time! Rushed back to the hotel to take a shuttle bus down to the airport instead. And awww, my poor boo fell asleep cos he was so tired from running everywhere to prepare everything for me. :")
Met up with M's parents for dinner at the airport before coming home to cut the cake! Cos they know that I'm a super huge fan of chocolate so they got me a yummy cake from Chocolate Origin, so sweet of them :")
Thank you for counting down to my birthday with me too and even played Taylor's 22 when the clock struck 12 midnight just so that I can have my mini concert, heh. Thank you for every single thing you've planned for me, I love it and...
I love you even more!
That's about my birthday eve!
Stay tuned to I'm feelin' 22 - Part II ;)
Till then, xx!
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
